PostHog Mobile Dashboard — Check Analytics from Your iPhone

PostHog doesn't have an official mobile app. If you want to check your analytics from your phone — during a commute, between meetings, or just away from your desk — you need a third-party client.

PocketHog is a native iOS app that gives you a mobile dashboard for PostHog. It connects to your PostHog account and puts your key metrics on your iPhone home screen as live-updating widgets.

The Problem: PostHog Is Desktop-Only

PostHog's web UI is powerful but designed for desktop browsers. On mobile, the experience is cramped — tiny charts, slow loading, and no native notifications or widgets. If you just want to glance at today's visitor count or check whether a launch is trending up, you shouldn't need to open a laptop.

This matters most for indie developers, solo founders, and small teams who don't have a dedicated analytics person watching dashboards all day. You want to ship code, glance at your numbers, and move on.

What PocketHog Shows You

PocketHog pulls data from the PostHog API and displays it in a mobile-first feed:

  • Visitor counts — total unique users for the current period
  • Trend charts — sparkline visualizations of traffic over time
  • Delta percentages — week-over-week and month-over-month changes
  • Conversion metrics — track any PostHog event as a secondary metric (signups, purchases, activations)
  • Chart annotations — view and create annotations overlaid on your trends
  • Multi-project support — see all your PostHog projects in one scrollable feed

Home Screen Widgets

The headline feature is iOS home screen widgets. Add a small or medium widget for any PostHog project and see your metrics without opening the app. Widgets refresh in the background every 30 minutes.

Each widget shows your project name, visitor count, conversion metric (if configured), and a sparkline trend chart. Long-press to choose which project it displays.

How It Works

  1. Create a PostHog Personal API key with project, query, and event_definition read scopes.
  2. Install PocketHog on the App Store and paste your key.
  3. Select your region (US Cloud, EU Cloud, or self-hosted).
  4. Your projects load instantly — add widgets from the home screen.
