PostHog iOS App — Native iPhone Client with Home Screen Widgets
PostHog is one of the most popular open-source product analytics platforms, used by thousands of developers and product teams. But PostHog doesn't have an official mobile app.
PocketHog fills that gap. It's a native iOS app that connects to your PostHog account and gives you a mobile analytics dashboard with live home screen widgets.
Why a Native iOS App?
You could bookmark PostHog's web UI on your phone. But the web interface is designed for desktop — charts are tiny, navigation is slow, and you can't get widgets or background updates.
PocketHog is built in Swift specifically for iPhone. It uses iOS-native features that a web app can't:
- Home screen widgets — see metrics at a glance without opening any app
- Background refresh — data updates even when the app is closed
- Instant launch — cached data loads synchronously, no spinner
- Deep links — tap to jump straight to PostHog Max AI for deeper analysis
What You Can Do
Monitor All Your Projects
PocketHog shows all your PostHog projects in a scrollable card feed. Each card displays the project name, visitor count, trend chart, and period-over-period delta (weekly and monthly). If you manage multiple products, you see everything in one view.
Track Conversion Events
Pick any PostHog event — signups, purchases, activations, button clicks — as a conversion metric for each project. PocketHog suggests your most common events so setup is fast. The conversion count appears alongside visitors on the project card and in the widget.
Home Screen Widgets
Add small or medium widgets to your iOS home screen. Each widget shows one project's metrics with a sparkline chart. Widgets refresh in the background every 30 minutes. Long-press to configure which project displays.
Chart Annotations
View existing PostHog annotations overlaid on your trend charts, and create new ones directly from the app. Useful for marking launches, deploys, or marketing campaigns.
